We are now offering monthly Webinar Masterclasses with academics and expert practitioners to share knowledge, increase research mindedness and create communities of learning.
Continuous Professional Development is an integral part of Social Work. As a practitioners we have to evidence our learning and development to Social Work England when we register or re-register.
In the past the Teaching Partnership has offered Masterclasses and learning opportunities for practitioners in Local Authorities through the Lecturer Practitioner Consultants. Our offer of CPD and learning has now moved to Online Delivery. Covid 19 has meant that we could no longer facilitate face to face events since March 2020 and we reviewed how we could best meet the needs of the profession.
We are now offering monthly Webinar Masterclasses with academics and expert practitioners to share knowledge, increase research mindedness and create communities of learning.
The subjects we discuss are relevant to front line practitioners and go beyond the mandatory training sessions. If you have ideas for future Masterclasses or you would like to be involved, please use our ‘Contact’ form on this site to get in touch.
The Webinars are free to attend and will be advertised on the event pages. They are aimed at practitioners, students and academics alike and we thrive to enable debate and reflection through interactive and participatory tools. Online facilitation offers the Teaching Partnership flexibility to deliver subjects that are relevant in Front Line practice in a way that suits the workforce across a large geographical area.
All Webinars are recorded and available on this website to enable learning and development at any time!
Your Feedback matters
Here is what you said:
“Having access to the expertise of someone at the university that I wouldn’t usually get to hear from and being able to do it without having to travel to Bournemouth from West Dorset where I work”
“It was interesting to hear from Dr Louise Oliver directly, to have her talking about her research and that of others. The slides were very informative, and it is helpful to have them for future reference. Being able to ask questions through the chat feature on Microsoft Teams was also very useful.”
“Listening to other people’s experiences has helped me understand the extent of the issue and also the huge professional awareness that more support / research is required to address it moving forward. As a student, the extensive referencing will be very useful for my further study.”
