Are you a social worker who is interested in enrolling in a part time self-funded PhD? In the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences we are keen to collaborate with practitioners on research, particularly on topics relating to social work practice and which align with the Research Centre for Seldom Heard Voices. Bournemouth University requirements are that you would need to dedicate a minimum of 12 hours a week for part time study (although we wouldn’t want to minimise how all-consuming a PhD can become) with completion in 4-6 years.
For an informal chat, please contact Dr Mel Hughes, Principal Academic in Social Work mhughes@bournemouth.ac.uk or any member of the social work team.
You can find information on the application process and fees for part time study here https://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/study/courses/phd-faculty-health-social-sciences
