A free CPD event for social workers who live and/or work in the Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region to connect and catch up with current issues and trends in the world of social work.

This will be the first of a series of events convened by the Pan Dorset BASW Branch which was set up by a group of social workers from the Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole local area to connect and discuss issues of concern and interests affecting social work practice and social work policy.

In this launch event, guest speakers from BASW will address the themes of social work activism and current issues and trends affecting Adults and Childrens social work.

The Pan Dorset BASW Branch aims to create a safe space for the sharing of experiences and ideas and to promote critical reflection on issues and concerns which affects all social workers who live and/or work in the area. All social workers in the area are warmly invited to join the Pan Dorset BASW Branch and help us to form a powerful voice for social workers in the region.

Our launch event includes Guest Speakers – Gerry Nosowska (BASW Chair), Liz Howard (Professional Officer, BASW) and Rebekah Pierre (Professional Officer, BASW).
